For nature and people to thrive, we represent communities who are challenging the industries that damage ecosystems. We represent communities caring for Country and safeguarding vital ecosystems focusing on:

– Holding accountable the industries driving the most damage, like logging and agriculture.

– Compelling decision-makers to enforce protections and stop greenlighting destruction.

– Strengthening protections for the long haul – securing better laws and ensuring existing protections are not ignored.

– Supporting communities experiencing disproportionate impacts of environmental destruction and ecosystem collapse to win equitable and just outcomes.

Our four priority areas are:

– The Murray-Darling Basin: The lifeblood for Aboriginal Nations, river communities, ancient red gums, turtles, birds and fish, we are using the law to protect the Murray River from harm.

– Victorian and Tasmanian forests: Using litigation and legal advocacy, we are defending these extraordinary forest ecosystems from destruction.

– The Northern Territory’s savanna woodlands: We are challenging illegal land clearing by big cotton and industrial agriculture, defending First Nations rights and protecting Northern Territory savanna.

– National environmental laws: We’re advocating for state and federal laws that actually protect nature, and institutions to properly enforce them.
