The Dining Room Mission is a not-for-profit, DGR registered, community-based organisation that provides both a welcoming support service and a safe place for social connection for those in our local Maroondah community who may be marginalised or disadvantaged through personal circumstances. The Dining Room Mission is also an important space for families and guests to gather together to be served, as well as enjoy, a nourishing weekly, dine-in, twocourse meal. The communal gathering aims to foster a sense of wellbeing, something that is particularly important for any children in the families we serve and support. At the conclusion of the evening meal service families and guests are then invited to review what food products are available for them to take home and enjoy in their own time. This includes various bakery items and groceries generously donated by local businesses.
